Chainsaw Maintenance and Operations - Occasional User - NPTC unit 0029-04
This course is consists of one mandatory unit with the following learning outcomes:
Unit 001 - Maintenance and Felling operations for trees up to 150mm

Be able to work safely

Carry out essential maintenance to the engine, chain, drive, and guidebar

Carry out pre-start and safety checks

Prepare for felling and fell trees

Take down a small hung up tree

Cross-cut and stack timber on the ground of varying diameters to given specification

Remove branches safely

Know how to work safely whilst carrying out chainsaw activities
